Green coffee beans are not roasted, so they have a completely different taste from black coffee beans – grassy, slightly sour, like an unripe persimmon. However, they are considered to be more useful because they fully retain their beneficial substances when uncooked. Unlike black coffee, green coffee beans are obtained by drying, not roasting. The beans resemble lentils in appearance. The colour of the drink is greenish-brown, with a tangy taste.
Research supports the weight loss benefits of green coffee. This is due to the high levels of chlorogenic acid in beans, one of the most powerful antioxidants.
The main rule is that the drink must be consumed without the use of sweeteners. You can add ginger, cinnamon, vanilla, cardamom or other spices to taste.
The recommended daily intake is no more than 2 cups of tonic drink.
Coffee is not recommended for children and adolescents, pregnant and lactating women.
Coffee preparation:
Pour 1-2 teaspoons of ground green coffee over hot water (preferably 90°C). After 5 minutes, the coffee is ready to drink. A slightly tangy taste of the brew, similar to that of green tea.
